Tamarack Waldorf School

Annual Appeal

100% Day is a day dedicated to reaching 100% Annual Appeal participation by families, faculty, staff and Board of Trustees.

Our biggest fundraiser is our Annual Appeal, an annual giving campaign asking our community and friends to support the school with a financial gift. All donations are deeply appreciated, because they are critical to our ability to continue to offer a complete Waldorf curriculum to our families. Thanks to our donors, this unique and valuable educational experience remains available to our students and students in the future.

Tamarack offers a unique, quality Waldorf education, with a mission of making this specialized education affordable to all who want it. While all private schools must fundraise to bridge the gap between tuition and expenses, at Tamarack, it is a special challenge. We must also bridge a tuition gap, but unlike many other private schools, the majority of our families are low-income, and we do not have the extra support of a large institution behind us. But it is not big wallets upon which we depend, it is big hearts!

We strive for 100% participation from our school families in our Annual Appeal to demonstrate to outsiders, such as fundraising organizations and donors, that we are a school whose families are dedicated. We also seek to build relationships with those in the Milwaukee area or elsewhere who value innovations in education, healthy living, and the arts.

If you would like to support Tamarack and Waldorf education in Milwaukee while helping us meet the Annual Appeal goal, please donate now by clicking the Donate button below!

Is my Annual Appeal gift tax deductible?

Tamarack Waldorf School is a 501(c)3 organization. No goods or services are provided in exchange for your contribution, which is tax deductible to the extent provided by law.

Why give to Tamarack?

Choosing a school for your child or children is not a one time decision. It is a decision that you constantly make over and over. Choosing to stay, examining the experience, assessing your child’s progress and development, it is always a choice every day, an active engagement that extends over months and over years. And part of that choice is financial. Whether private pay, reduced tuition or choice, there is a cost associated with this school for all families.

Making choices to give extra resources to our school – time, money, energy, stuff – is a sacrifice. For our family, the best way to budget for extra contributions beyond tuition is to give on a monthly sustaining level. The choices are many and frequent, but knowing that we’ve made this choice to set that smaller amount aside monthly give us the time to focus on the many other choices and challenges we face as a family and a community.

Please consider that monthly donation – it’s easy to do!
-Erin Grace, Grade 7 Parent
